After checking out loads of retirement and lifestyle villages we kept be drawn to Affinity so we made the move, from the country, almost two years ago, with no regrets!! The location really suits us, and even though we have our own vehicle, we don’t often use it. Not only is there a range of activities and facilities within the village, but just a few minutes’ walk away is the shopping centre, along with medical facilities, post office, library, restaurants, tavern and Bunnings, to name a few. An added bonus is the public transport which is also on our doorstep. The facilities and grounds are lovely, and provide an extension to our home. We feel a sense of community, while still being able to maintain our privacy; and along with the security of being in a gated village, it ticks all our boxes. We love living here!! PS: You will need to downsize your possessions before you make the move, but you’ll get over it!

My first visit to the Affinity Village was an amazing experience. Coming through the gate and into the grounds I felt like I was entering a private high class estate. The beautiful gardens throughout the village make it a tranquil, peaceful setting for the lovely homes here. Entering the clubhouse reception area really was like entering a 5 star hotel. My decision to move here was made on that first visit. I love my home. It is comfy, modern and my happy place. I have a better social life than ever before. There are lots of activities, social events and clubs, great trips out, concerts/dance nights to name a few. I have made so many lovely friends in the village. I love the feeling of security here opposed to living out in the general community. We are within walking distance of shops, restaurants, all the medical services. We could not be in a better location.

I can recommend this beautiful village to anyone seeking a peaceful, secure and friendly environment. I am here to stay!

There is no such thing as loneliness when living in the Rylands community.

There is no such thing as loneliness when living in the Rylands community. Ever since I moved into Rylands of Kew, I enjoy the social activities, especially the themed dinners for days like St Patricks Day or Cup Day, but it is the daily social interaction with residents and staff that most appeals to me.

At Rylands, there are plenty of opportunities to engage with the community. We have a spacious and lovely foyer where we can socialise every morning to read the newspaper and have a cuppa. There is always somebody about to chat to about interesting topics such as footy tipping or the current state of the economy.

Make the move but do it sooner rather than later

We had our eye on La Dimora right from the initial planning stage. After looking at other villages and comparing the size of homes and our beautiful surroundings, there was no comparison.

We are in a much nicer environment at La Dimora, there is such a community feel compared to our old house where we had no interactions with our neighbours, we know everyone around us now.

Make the move but do it sooner rather than later when you have the health to experience all that is available here.

I am extremely comfortable here at Rylands of Hawthorn

My daughter recommended me to look at Rylands of Hawthorn as she felt that it would be very suitable. I visited, had a look at the place, and agreed with her.

I am extremely comfortable here at Rylands of Hawthorn. Besides associating with some very nice like-minded people, I can choose which social activities to participate in and when to dine at the in-house restaurant. Everything at Rylands is what I feel is the best fit for my current lifestyle and me

It is a wonderful place

When we found La Dimora we loved it and never looked back. The golf course has been great for me, and I love the fact that resident’s exclusive club house, Villa Valdera (currently under renovation), has a garden where I can get my hands dirty. It is a wonderful place where residents can go anytime to do what they enjoy

The staff are superb, they spoil us all the time. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are wonderful, you can swim in the pool or take a wander around the lovely gardens. I feel really safe and that makes a big difference in your life. You sleep better because you’re feeling safe.

I haven’t even thought about my old home, it’s quite incredible. I can’t believe it myself, that I could feel so comfortable living at The Beaumont.

It’s Like Living in Paradise!

From the moment we stepped into the village and saw the well-maintained and beautiful gardens, we knew it was the right place for us. We had always enjoyed having big gardens in our previous house and it was vital for us to find a home that could offer a similar green haven. Now, we get to enjoy the gardens without worrying about the upkeep. This has freed up a lot of our time to do other activities we love.

The village takes safety very seriously, and that gives us peace of mind. Some days, I come home from the footy games and enjoy taking my dog Max out for a late walk within the village grounds after the gates close.

If you are looking for a paradise to spend your golden years, Arcadia Waters Maddington is the place to be!

The security at the village is excellent and I always feel very safe and secure

Since downsizing life has become so much simpler, no longer needing to worry about cleaning the pool and organising maintenance and upkeep of a large house. So much more time to go out and enjoy myself. As I am still very active outside of the village with voluntary positions and playing sport, there are many days that I am away from the village, but it is so easy to maintain my unit and garden. Although I live alone, I never feel lonely as you only need to go out for a walk in the village to find a caring person to talk to. The security at the village is excellent and I always feel very safe and secure. You can even enjoy a stroll around the village after dark in the cool of the evening. Something I would never do outside of the village.

It’s the people that make it – you look after each other but we are also respectful of privacy

We’re living in a village, like when I was a little girl. People know each other, and everybody is friendly. We feel safe and supported.

There is a sense of belonging

There is a sense of belonging, that everyone looks after each other and people are genuinely interested. I would tell anyone that sooner is better than later. The sooner you move in, the more activities you can do and there is so much to do when you can get around.

Everything about this village is perfect and my husband and I are just so happy to live here

My husband and I were looking to move away from Sydney and decided to pack our belongings and make a move to Perth.

After much investigation online, we decided that Lattitude Lakelands looked to be the place for us! We flew over and were amazed at how beautiful everything looked and how many activities were available for residents to participate in. We moved into our brand new home and for the past three years, the experience has been wonderful. The houses are so lovely and I can’t stress how beautiful the whole development looks. Whenever people visit us, they are amazed at the size and the amenities of the village and begin to consider perhaps they should move in here too.

There is so much to do here and become involved in if you choose to. I do aerobics three mornings a week, followed by coffee in our lovely cafe, which I love doing and we have a great teacher. We use the pool a lot during the warmer months and it is also heated during winter. There are always people around to have a chat or a coffee with and we always feel safe and secure.
