A Special Mother-Daughter Bond at Arcadia Waters Maddington

A Special Mother-Daughter Bond at Arcadia Waters Maddington

News

In celebration of Mother’s Day, one family at Arcadia Waters Maddington is celebrating something truly special — the gift of living life side by side.

Faye has lived at Arcadia Waters Maddington for almost 20 years, building lasting friendships and becoming part of the close-knit community. After seeing the support and care Faye received from neighbours and friends over the years, her daughter Neigla and son-in-law Peter decided the village was the perfect place to downsize and begin their next chapter too.

Now living just a few blocks away from one another, Faye and Neigla are able to enjoy more time together while still maintaining their independence.

From weekly Mahjong games and afternoon walks to spontaneous coffee catch-ups and quick check-ins, sharing village life has made everyday moments even more meaningful for them. Mahjong in particular holds special memories for both mother and daughter, reminding them of time spent living in Singapore years ago, where Faye would regularly play with friends. Today, those memories continue as they play together each week alongside fellow residents in the village.

“It’s really lovely having Mum here. As she gets older, it’s comforting to know I’m close by if she ever needs anything. Being able to catch up with her, but also as a neighbour in the village, is really special.”

For Faye and Neigla, living together within the Arcadia Waters Maddington community offers the perfect balance of family connection, friendship and support.

While Mother’s Day may have passed, the love, care and connection mothers bring to families and communities is something worth celebrating every day. At Arcadia Group, we’re especially grateful for the special bonds shared between residents, families and friends, and the everyday moments that make village life meaningful.
