Quiet Walter by Molly Worsnop
Aggie’s plaintive opening line “Walter there’s a fly on my counterpane” the play “Quiet Walter” seemed to go with a swing.
The audience thoroughly appreciated the comic moments and a well-rehearsed cast delivered their lines with confidence, Ian as the bumbling husband, Lyle as the nagging wife, Rachel as Clementine Bilberry, the ridiculous guest speaker talking about memory loss and Anne as the gushing interviewer, Sadie desperately trying to marry off Sophie and a last minute appearance by John as Alan (knocking 50) managed to be the icing on the cake.
Then there was Audrey the physio, with “a bun in the oven” and lastly Harry providing the music.
