Geraldton’s second Woolworths is coming to Seacrest Estate.
In a recent announcement, the development of a new $15m shopping centre on the corner of Iduna Road and Barrett Drive, directly opposite Arcadia Waters Retirement Village in Seacrest Estate, has been given the ‘green light’.
Designed by leading architectural firm, Hames Sharley, construction of the shopping centre is scheduled to complete by December 2016 and will feature a 3200sqm Woolworths supermarket and 1800sqm of speciality shops and community facilities, including a medical centre.
“We are very pleased to hear that construction of the shopping centre is at last going ahead. It was one of the reasons we chose to develop Arcadia Waters in Geraldton. It will be a real bonus for our residents to have the convenience of a supermarket and doctors rooms just across the road from the village”, said Roger Kwok, Managing Director of Arcadia Group.
We will post further details on the shopping centre once tenders for construction have been awarded, which should be by the end of February 2016.
